K'etha had expected to Impress a green, but not quite the green she had Impressed.

And Weyrlinghood was every bit as exhausting as she had been warned...and then some. She made her way into one of the bathing chambers and stripped down without any regard for whether anyone would see her, sliding into the water. There was space for others here, but that too she wasn't really noticing.

Oh.

That was so much better. The riders got to have hot tubs, but they needed them. Or at least the weyrlings did. The complex had been well-designed to handle all of this.

And when she...well.

When she fought Thread, she would definitely need and appreciate these little luxuries. For now, she floated in the water, oblivious to the fact that she was no longer alone.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, V'nin had found a long moment to practically breath. Several long months juggling the health of his fellow riders, their dragons, the Candidates, the First Clutch, the new dragons, the injured from the first Fall flight, the constant inquiries from Cali, the Latest Clutch, and checking of those new dragons. All that was now squared and the brown riding healer found himself with a whole day free. While he never neglected Evonoth, the poor Brown had not been given a proper scrub down. So the morning had been given to that endeavor, with pleasing results for all parties involved.

Now that the Brown had been tended to and resting contentedly in their weyr, it was now V'nin's turn. In the forefront of his mind was the need for a good long soak, which was something he hadn't done since just after waking up from the Long Sleep. Drell clung to his shoulder as the rider slipped into one of the chambers. The healer failed to note an existing set of clothes as he stripped. Scarred flesh became visible when he removed his shirt, tossing it aside. The firelizard was the only one to notice that his bond was not alone.

K'etha looked over, then politely looked away. Co-ed bathing wasn't something she was entirely comfortable with just yet, although riders tended to be very casual about such things.

Besides, it was rude to stare. She'd seen enough to recognize...

"Uh, hello, V'nin." She wanted to make sure he knew she was there, and could seek another chamber if he so wished.

She realized she wouldn't mind that much if he stayed. Weyrlings were, after all, off limits and no rider would break that particular rule. it had good reason for existing, after all.

V'nin was already nude when Drell's inquisitive chirp and a young female voice caught his attention. He turned slightly toward the bathing pool, finally seeing he was not as alone as he thought. "Ah. My apologies. I did not realize this was already occupied." His bright amber eyes danced impassively over the younger's nude form before returning to focus on her face. A brief flash of natural interest passed through the healer's mind before it was easily tossed aside. Instead, his mind was sorting through itself to place the other occupant of the room. He held a finger as though he meant to indirectly point at her. "Ka'etha? I may have that wrong. So many riders to keep track of. If it would make you feel more comfortable, I can find another pool." He said even as he started reaching for a drying cloth.

"I'm fine," K'etha said. "And it's K'etha. A little shorter."

She wasn't upset with him. He did have a lot of people to keep track of, although she'd bet he had no problems remembering the names of everyone's dragons. "As long as you're fine." She shifted a bit further away from the steps so he'd have more than enough space to soak without any unwanted contact. She wasn't averse to a bit of interest herself, but she knew she couldn't act on it.

Not until her green was a bit older, anyway and even then, she doubted it would be V'nin.

Unless his brown flew Lacoriath.

A yellow head poked around from behind her as she shifted position. The glidelizard chirped at V'nin and his firelizard, cheerfully.

V'nin nodded his head slightly. "K'etha. Thus I stand corrected. I thank you." His eyes focused on her face for a moment as he mentally repeated her name, ingraining the two together. Satisfied that he now knew her face and name, he extended his arm to the bronze flit, whom gingerly climbed up toward the his shoulder, his long tail wrapping snugly wrapping around the healer's bicep.

Having not been asked, or even demanded, to leave, V'nin slid into the bathing pool, Drell slipping into the water once the rider had settled down on the opposite side from the Weyrling, a respectful gesture. The bronze looked quite happy as he swam in the warm waters. A smile sat upon V'nin as he watched the small beast. "You'd think he was part fish with how often he likes to swim." He said, his eyes shifting toward K'etha. It was then he noticed her own companion.
